World Rhino Day 22 September
"Rhino horn is not a medicine". yesterday was world rhino day, a day which is dedicated to make the world aware of the killing of rhinos every year for their horns. "Raising public awareness about the illegal trade in Rhino horn and global rhino conservation issues". You might be asking yourself why I write about rhino day how it connects fedhasa youth. Rhino is part of the big five and also part of our heritage. Tourists spend a lot of money to visit our country and see the big five. If we do not do anything to fight Rhino poaching it is going to affect us in the Hospitality and Tourism Industry because if we do not have the big five few people are going to visit our country. What will happen then, what are we going to do what will make us unique from the rest of the world then.
The rhinos need to be conserved for the future generation and also to ensure that we always the big five. Let’s do it for our Industry and for the future generation. You do not want to wake up tomorrow only to find out that we are left with the big four and that one of the big five has become extinct. It is your responsibility and my responsibility to ensure that the we conserve the Rhinos and prevent Rhino poaching.
